Significant climatic “extreme events” were now occurring over 10 to 15 per cent of the planet annually, whereas between 1950 to 1980 they occurred over less than 1 per cent. He added: “So in places like Texas this year, Moscow last year, and Europe in 2003, the climate change is so big that they are undeniable. Within 10 to 15 years they’re going to occur over 15 to 20 per cent of the planet, so people have to notice that the climate is changing.”

A vast right wing conspiracy, as climate experts have told us that until satellites came in 1979, there was no accurate way to measure rainfall or temperatures.
And there still is not an “Accurate” method! The errors are larger than the anomaly measured!
Which is why Hansen ignores satellite data and makes up his own numbers where he has no thermometers.
According to all of this we have experienced 60 years of “NORMAL” weather variations that have all been called the most extreme in the earths history when in all likelihood it was the observations that led to that conclusion rather than the events themselves. After each disaster they just rebuilt to put more people in harm’s way for the next event. Are construction practices advanced the values increased and they were able to increase population density. An area where 50 houses were lost in 1950 probably contained 100 to 150 houses in 1975 as lot sizes got smaller.
The reason Climatologists fail to understand historic events is they do not know Jack about weather. An uneducated farmer trying to make ends meet digging in the dirt knows more about weather than the most educated climate “Expert” today. He has his father’s and grandfather’s memories to work with about changes in weather patterns and their effects on crops!
Just because Dr. Hansen holds a particular set of controvertable viewpoints does not make him the “World’s Top Climate Scientist” by any stretch of his, or anyone’s imagination. If you really feel compelled to bestow the label on someone, go for MIT’s Professor Richard Lindzen, an academic who understands the wide gulf between measuring and modeling, and chooses wisely on the appropriate side.
I agree, however the Chicken Little brigade has placed Hansen on a pedestal of his own making. It seems to have been created out of smoke and mirrors.

DONCHANO, Steven went in using his graphic skills and created those records so they would appear to be real and inserted them in the files for those news papers and government agencies. Climate was stable until 1979 when the satellites were sent up to monitor changes that were just starting to happen!
We have to STOP calling Hansen the world’s top scientist. It’s making us look stupid.

So far as the comments extracted from scientific documents are showing, it is cyclic like night/day, the 4 seasons. ..
If we consider man made CO2 as one of the main reasons (%10), then we should add it to other CO2 sources. Reportedly, Man made CO2 is around one tenth of all the the sources for CO2. Then radiations and many things are involved in this scenario.
Meanwhile, we see the predictions are pointing out to colder climate conditions from now on.
The discussions are going on and on, so I let it be for the scientists not to be jobless, they can do it better.
My problem is POLLUTION. Almost the greater cities in the world have pollutions and the life is not easy there.
I saw a comment somewhere, it was insisting that if we don’t have CO2 then there would be no O2 and no plants, as it is acting like fertilizer. These are claiming that green lands are extending, not bad, it is a fact OK!
But Can we say that this man made CO2, has been the cause for green lands growth ? When there are enough natural sources for CO2, why we should pollute our cities and environment around us the way that we cannot even breath normally. We are talking about where we live, not the deserts. Co2 may concentrate in one place and or move from place to place. This would result in Climate Changes.
On the other side, getting rid of Fossil Based Fuels (FBF), is fairy tale too. The reason is the extend of FBF in the world and our lives, and economically and politically of the impacts should be neglected, it is not easy to say.
Some parties are following the issue of carbon tax, as an instrument to reduce and or cut the unnecessary FBF consumption as much as possible.
Obviously, technology would help us to find the best way.
For the pollutions, we have found what to do, but there are economical and political reasons that would not let the progress be as it can be.
