    Well, July is probably when they got the “latest” GISS data from Hansen & co., so they applied the appropriate “adjustment”. Then GISS sees the “latest” HadCrut data and makes the appropriate “adjustment”, and then …
    Pretty soon “based on the latest data” it’s the hottest year ever!
