During the week of July 8, 1913 – high temperatures in Death Valley ranged from 127 to 134 degrees. On July 9, 1913 – the average temperature was 111 degrees. It was the hottest weather ever recorded in North America.

The low levels of CO2 were causing excess heat to be trapped.

IMHO Hansen, Jones and Climate Research Unit team should go to Death Vally to investigate the temperature variation over a 10 year period. And please, I would like to be the first to help fund their efforts (under canvas) in Death Vally.
    Anyone else wish to contribute?

I have recently heard that alarmists are taking issue with the 1913 record temperatures at Death Valley. I doubt if their issues have any basis in evidence. We can safely assume the observer is long dead. Maybe the thermometer is in a museum somewhere.
