- Assume any driver with a cell phone is an idiot.
- Assume that most drivers will accelerate if they see a bicycle approaching a crosswalk.
- Never, ever wear spandex into a biker bar

Also, add #6:
Assume that anyone turning right, or left, will do their best to not see you.

Good, I can’t stand most of the “fancy pants” people riding around town. They blow through stop signs when there are cars there (huge hazard), and the most annoying thing they do is pass all the other bikes at a stop light to get in the front of the line…when they’re still in a very high gear too…crazy frustrating.
