A CSU prof wants to cull the population to stop global warming.
Ending human population growth is almost certainly a necessary (but not sufficient) condition for preventing catastrophic global climate change. Indeed, significantly reducing current human numbers may be necessary in order to do so.
A great way to start this effort would be for all wannabee Nazis to end their own lives voluntarily. For the good of the fatherland planet, of course.

A side effect of population control through contraception is increased CO2 emissions from increased condom and contraceptive pill production, not to mention p*ssing off the public at large who aren’t buying the AGW story.
And conveniently, since most of the West is pretty much at zero population growth already, I guess he means we should stop black people and yellow people from reproducing. It works out well that he can roll two different paranoid delusions into the same solution.
Why is it that whenever academics start using the word ‘ethics’, it always seems to be coupled with scenarios that would make a sociopath vomit in horror?
Of course these people are all watermelons, i.e. socialists, but the question still begs an answer: where, oh where, does their boundless desire for mass murder come from?
(John 8:44, kjv): Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Which states what is, most surely, but perhaps not the ‘why’ very clearly… why, oh why, would you burn with a dominating desire to murder millions of people, people who live thousands of kilometers from you? Why? Is it some directly inherent aspect of being Godless? Does being an Atheist-Humanist-(i.e. a Leftist-Hippie) make you, inherently, a lying murder who is just waiting for the opportunity to express yourself?
In the days before the internet was for all the people I had a discussion with a college professor on-line using CompuServe. He said then (late 80s) that the world had 5 billion people and it would destroy the earth unless we reduced the number to 1 billion. I simply asked him who got to decided who “we” killed off. (I also asked what mortality system he used to excuse such mass murder)
Oddly, he had no answers for me!
While they continue talking as if global warming was real, here in Brussels, Belgium, it is snowing this morning. And that is very unusual. I just took a photograph of the white thing of the past, and can send it to you if you like.
History repeats itself and the left is all about population control. One of the reasons they like communist China is because of the one child policy. They hate Christmas because of the lights and how much electricity is used. I once asked a liberal friend if he wanted to see Christmas banned do to the amount of electricity used towards lighting.

John Paul Holdren (born March 1, 1944) is advisor to President Barack Obama for Science and Technology, Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and Co-Chair of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST)[1]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Holdren
Overpopulation was an early concern and interest. In a 1969 article, Holdren and co-author Paul R. Ehrlich argued, “if the population control measures are not initiated immediately, and effectively, all the technology man can bring to bear will not fend off the misery to come.”[21] In 1973, Holdren encouraged a decline in fertility to well below replacement in the United States, because “210 million now is too many and 280 million in 2040 is likely to be much too many.”[22] In 1977, Paul R. Ehrlich, Anne H. Ehrlich, and Holdren co-authored the textbook Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment; they discussed the possible role of a wide variety of solutions to overpopulation, from voluntary family planning to enforced population controls, including forced sterilization for women after they gave birth to a designated number of children, and discussed “the use of milder methods of influencing family size preferences” such as access to birth control and abortion.[12][23] [24]
Oh and my liberal friend answered yes.
John Holdren, Obama’s Science Czar, says: Forced abortions and mass sterilization needed to save the planet
Book he authored in 1977 advocates for extreme totalitarian measures to control the population
• Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not;
• The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation’s drinking water or in food;
• Single mothers and teen mothers should have their babies seized from them against their will and given away to other couples to raise;
• People who “contribute to social deterioration” (i.e. undesirables) “can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility” — in other words, be compelled to have abortions or be sterilized.
• A transnational “Planetary Regime” should assume control of the global economy and also dictate the most intimate details of Americans’ lives — using an armed international police force.
Impossible, you say? That must be an exaggeration or a hoax. No one in their right mind would say such things.
Well, I hate to break the news to you, but it is no hoax, no exaggeration. John Holdren really did say those things.

P.S. it’s 2012 and there are 310 million. More than the 280 million estimated by 2040. Must be the last person forgot to close the gate when they crossed the border.
George Bernard Shaw was one of the left’s most revered figures and the only person besides Al Gore to win both an Oscar and a Nobel prize.
George Bernard Shaw, “ I don’t want to punish anybody, but there are an extraordinary number of people who I might want to kill…I think it would be a good thing to make everybody come before a properly appointed board just as he might come before the income tax commissioner and say every 5 years or every 7 years…just put them there and say , ‘Sir or madam will you be kind enough to justify your existence…if you’re not producing as much as you consume or perhaps a little bit more then clearly we cannot use the big organization of our society for the purpose of keeping you alive. Because your life does not benefit us and it can’t be of very much use to yourself.’
“I appeal to the chemists to discover a humane gas that will kill instantly and painlessly. Deadly by all means, but humane, not cruel.” Fabian Socialist George Bernard Shaw, Feb 7, 1934
The interesting thing, to this line of thinking, is that eliminating the populations that consume more than they produce would destroy liberal voting blocks across the board.
Clearly they don’t realize that population is already declining. Thanks to them, birth rates are below replacement. Stupid Malthusians have been saying this for over 50 years. We are not overpopulating, and people are not pollution. This type of behaviour from Greens is disgusting.
The Nazis would have to kill themselves for the Fatherland. Motherland would be the Soviets.
Give people cheap abundant energy, let them move to first world status and population growth automatically reduces or even revrses. This is seen in nation after nation.
For a well reasoned alternative perspective, see, http://www.spiked-online.com/index.php/site/article/10077/. It’s interesting to note that O’Neill, an editor of Spiked, is a self proclaimed leftist. Take a look at all of Spiked’s articles on population. They present a thought provoking and welcome view that the misanthropes and Malthusians are at best, misinformed, and at worst, well, let me kind; foolish.
Someone should keep an eye on his shopping list and alert the authorities when he starts buying extra bottles of kool aid, I’m not joking people with that kind of mindset are a danger to the public.
Removing people from poverty to a point where they can get a better education, will lead to better paid jobs, they’ll have a better sense of well-being they’ll have careers etc… And in-turn will plan out their lives in a more responsible way, usually having fewer children later in life.
Some people like to have large families and I see nothing wrong with that either, Some of us do not want large families.
