Curly – Permanent Drought In Australia

Speaking to a packed house at the University of Western Australia last night, Professor Ross Garnaut said the drying of the South-West has been predicted by climate change scientists, and climate changes in the region are directly attributable to carbon levels in the atmosphere

Larry – 75 Metres Of Sea Level Rise

“If you leave us at 450ppm for long enough it will probably melt all the ice – that’s a sea rise of 75 metres. What we have found is that the target we have all been aiming for is a disaster – a guaranteed disaster,” Hansen told the Guardian.

In summary, the permanent drought in Australia is producing too much rain, which is causing sea level to rapidly fall to catastrophically high levels.

    75 meters
    and
“Hansen said that he now regards as “implausible” the view of many climate scientists that the shrinking of the ice sheets would take thousands of years. “If we follow business as usual I can’t see how west Antarctica could survive a century. We are talking about a sea-level rise of at least a couple of metres this century.”"

What does this creature know that we do not ?

Hmm, yes, what about Shemp, but don’t forget the Joe’s too!!

Yep. The science is settled alright…

The funny thing about these idiots is that as soon as they shoot their mouth off something natural happens and exposes their stupidity.

Eastern Australia had 6 months of high rainfall from November 2010 to April 2011.

Weatern Australia has recently received record drought breaking rainfall which is unseasonal and continuing but neverthe less welcome.

And Ross Garnaut made his stupid assertion when ?

    Is the man asleep ??

Eastern Australia has had at least 3 major rainfall events – much higher than average – 1974, 2001, and 2001. that is 3 in less than 40 years.

There has been one major 10 year drought for some parts of Queensland during the naughties.

Can’t these idiots remember further back than their last stupid pronouncement ?

I just saw the horrific graph from SkepticalScience about frightening sea level rises.

50 mm or about 2.5 inches over almost 20 years – NOW that seems a bit more realistic than Hansen’s predictions – didn’t he claim the freeway in New York would go under sometime soon – only about 10 feet left ?

  6. avatar Rosco says:

The other interesting statistic about flooding in Brisbane in 2011 – 1974 was higher than 2011 – several feet.

1893 was the grandaddy of them all,

Not much CO2 or manmade climate change around in 1893.
