It’s raining here today, so that should knock another inch off sea level.

A bit off topic, but yesterday, a tropical system moved inland around Daytona Beach that wasn’t named that should have been named. It had 45 mph sustained winds and gusts around 60 mph. It also had a pressure down to at least 1002 millibars.

This sustem was certainly a lot closer to being a tropical storm than a lot of the 1008 and 1009 mb systems they were naming all year out in the middle of nowhere. But since the National Hurricane Center had already reached their “quota” for the year, they could not be bothered.

I got the front end last night and we are still getting rain, sort of light rain that is soaking in rather than running off!

Has anyone thought to inform HRH the Bonkers Prince of Wales? He needs to know, but then again, perhaps not…

They have not done the proper adjustments to the readings. What you are seeing is preliminary results that need to be tested against frog entrails next spring to verify the accuracy. They are currently researching the bumps on the heads of the Climatologists using the latest phrenology techniques as an additional method of verifying the results and make corrections!
