Record February Cold Forecast For Russia

Russia’s winter was Hitler’s demise. It is even colder now, after 70 years of unprecedented global warming.

According to weather forecasts, temperatures in the European part of Russia will drop to -35C this weekend. While meteorologists predict record low temperatures for Russia, Europe’s freeze is showing no signs of letting go. The current cold snap has reached Catalonia and spread eastwards across the Bosphorus and beyond. News bulletins have turned into emergency reports, posting the death toll from the frosts at 400. Communication between European cities and countries has been disrupted and the European energy supply systems are working ‘at maximum capacity’. The Voice of Russia’s Polina Chernitsa has more details.

Weather reports predict no changes over the next few days. Moreover, they are warning of a third cold spell to hit the European part of Russia over the weekend with temperatures expected to plunge to -35C, a record low for February. A Voice of Russia correspondent met with Dmitry Kiktyov of the Russian Meteorology Center.
