The official alarmist line is to pretend that they don’t have good Arctic ice data from before 1979. Yet in 1990, both the IPCC and NOAA knew that Arctic ice extent was more than 30,000 Manhattans smaller in 1974 than it was in 1979.
Where is that NOAA data, and why do the IPCC, NSIDC, NASA and NOAA now pretend that they don’t know about it?
I keep looking for it Steve, but I can’t find it anywhere. You’ve done better than me, I never found that graph, but we both know the analysis exists.
One of the pdfs I got from here….. the CIA report states a 15% increase in arctic ice……. where’s the data?

todays news has been interesting- to sum up,
Hansen creates temp data which didn’t previously exist in the Antarctic and NOAA IPCC, NSIDC, NASA and NOAA now pretend that they don’t know about Arctic data pre 1979.
Sounds like a fruitful line of inquiry directly with NOAA. Perhaps a nice email inquiry, followed by an FOI request when they (fail to respond/won’t hand it over)?

Whoa! Holy NOAA! That looks to me like the mother of all daggers to slay the global warming dragon for good. If that is correct, it will be the biggest news to come out so far and way bigger than climategate and fakegate combined.
Always thought the CT etc used rigged data hide the ice decline for NH ice
