Snyder, Texas is the third closest USHCN station to Katherine Hayhoe. It shows a sharp drop in the number of 90 degree days, and in the length of heatwaves. I’ve already done the same analysis for the closest and second closest stations – and they show the same thing.

It is easy to see why Katherine starts her analysis in the 1970s and ignores earlier data – there was a huge drop in West Texas summer temperatures during the 1960s.

Perhaps Katherine’s Internet connection is restricted from downloading pre-1970 data.
