Zoomed further. North Pole at the center. Depending on which side of the pole you are standing, temperatures vary by more than 10C.

How much data does he actually have north 0f 80N? None at all. It is all fabricated.

You could run a Stirling cycle engine on temperature gradient at the North Pole. More climate weirding.

  2. avatar Dave Burton says:

If you walked 3 paces due south, then 20 paces due east, then 3 paces due north, and arrived back at your starting point, and the temperature varied by more than 5C over the course of your trek, how long was your nose?

I’m sure Special K is busily pounding out a complaint to GISS, as we post. After all, with a record worse than Harold Camping, surely Hansen is under K’s microscope. He’s a watchdog!

  4. avatar Charles Higley says:

Not only does Happy-go-lucky Hansen not have any data for the North Pole, most of the data that there is comes from temperature monitoring sites that suffer from being in UHI effected or poor siting situations (e.g., at the local air strip).

Arctic Rim quality sites indicate no warming in 50+ years.

Hansen went to the same school that yesterday’s NPR newscaster went to. She reported that the wrecked Italian cruise ship still had half its fuel and that weather was impeding efforts to offload 500,000 tons of fuel.

Let’s see . . . a Nimitz class aircraft carrier weighs in at about 100,000 tons, so the cruise ship, fully fueled, carries fuel equivalent to the mass of 10 Nimitz class carriers.

Methinks the cruise ship has really, really bad fuel efficiency, but then again it is Italian (the same people who solved their postal backlog by burning all mail for a week).

Or the newscaster had no clue what she was saying and takes her job as that of a mindless parrot.

Looks like a pie-chart close up.. Mmmmm.. pie

Hansen is full of $hit. The NWS summary for Barrow, AK in December 2011 showed a mean temperature departure of -1.8 degrees F for the month.

And the problems it provokes ,warm cold warm cold warm cold , to go crazy.

You could straddle the North Pole. One foot would be freezing and the other broiling. That makes a lot of sense. Only a total idiot would draw a map like that.

These charts are so sickeningly predictable, with the high Arctic and Antarctic always very warm, along with other very remote places such as the Indian Ocean and the South Pacific.

What do these areas have in common? They have virtually no population and very sparce data. So Hansen & Company go to work with their red and brown (what happened to pink?) crayons and do their phony “adjustments”and “extrapolations”. Done so with an obvious and extreme warm bias that conveniently fits their agenda.

These alarmist characters play games like that, yet their shills, like Mr. O’ Neill, tell us that we should blindly accept everything they say. If they are so certain with respect to their cause, why do they feel a need to deceive in this manner?

    South hardly fares better.

  11. avatar CK says:

You are very wrong, there is too much evidence to deny that there is increasingly dangerous climate change and that humans have caused it to be particularly bad. You are behaving like conspiracy theorists. So, did NASA really land men on the Moon?

  12. avatar CK says:

Hansen is not ‘full of sh*t’. Hansen is a perfectly respectable scientist who has put forward some very plausible and frightening data. So who are you ‘Chuck L’?
