For Haiti, climate change is more present fear than horrible imagining
For people in the UK, a weak deal at Durban on climate change may be disappointing, but it is not something that will affect their everyday life – at least not for some years to come.
In Haiti, though, hurricanes are becoming more frequent and unpredictable
If they were becoming more frequent, that would probably also mean they were becoming more predictable. Lower frequency phenomena tend to be the ones that are difficult to predict.
One thing for sure – the author did no actual research. That is the hallmark of climate science reporters.
Are there actually human beings stupid enough to believe that anything they might have done in Durban would have prevented hurricanes in Haiti?

The article infers that humans cutting down trees is part of the damage being caused by climate change. Apparently axes are made of CO2; their brains are certainly full of it.
In the alarmist camp, desperate statements “are becoming more frequent and unpredictable”.
First they need to ask, Where is Haiti? At eighteen degrees north it is right in the middle of the Tropics, so one might expect it to be affected by Tropical Storms and Hurricanes are just strong Tropical storms.
I think if one reads the accounts of the early explorers and settlers in that region, they might find Tropical storms are a normal part of life there and were even before Europeans first visited.
