The Green Dream Of Genocide

Greenies dream of cold weather, while working to reduce energy availability. The only rational reason for that could be a desire to see many people die.

That is the only logical conclusion.

I picture a future time of unlimited free energy, via hot or cold fusion, whatever. Advocates of this point to mundane benefits like boutiful water desalination + alleviation of hardship in the third world.

But I see the possible ‘frivolous’ things. Like ~costless hydrogen & flying cars. Or, take Big Bear CA with its ~4 month ski season. With unlimited free energy they could run snow machines all year. But even I think, even if there was no $ cost at all and no cost to the environment –absolutely no cost at all — it would still “be a bit much.” But if it were truly costless, there would be nothing wrong with doing it. This is the secular liberal guilt. I don’t want to describe it in detail, but it is not rational. And the target of the guilt is not just what may be called extravagant.

Energy allows our mobility, and undergirds the factories that have lifted us out of drudgery. So, the one thing that allows man to rise, is the target. It’s the ‘sacrificial offering’ to atone. This gives birth to dreams as expressed in the following:

“A massive campaign must be launched to de-develop the United States… [we] must design a stable, low-consumption economy in which there is a much more equitable distribution of wealth.” -John Holdren (1973), Obama’s Science Czar
