A RECEDING GLACIER.
HARBOUR BEING MADE. .
VANCOUVER. Sept. 12.
A curious natural phenomenon is likely to result in Canada securing a new harbour. An investigation by the Alaska boundary surveyors has disclosed the fact that the Great Glacier, which is situated on Glacier Bay, is receding at the rate of a mile a year, according to measurements taken on the open water It is considered that this action of the glacier will result in a fine natural harbour being secured for Canada about the year 1916.

It may just be that even as temperature monotonically rises, precipitation goes up and down because, oh I dunno, say, cosmic rays affect condensation nuclei in the atmosphere?
