Shooting down climate change myths: There is scientific consensus that planet’s warming
Doug O’Harra | Nov 27, 2011A 2010 survey found that 90 percent of 3,146 earth scientists surveyed around the world believe average global temperatures have risen over the past two centuries
Even one of the most outspoken scientific skeptics now agrees the planet has heated up.
Prior to Richard Muller’s recent epiphany, most of us skeptics believed that the Thames was still frozen over.
This straw man has been set up and knocked down by warmists so flagrantly and repetitively that it is a wonder that there is anything left but the scattered stuffing.
There is plenty of evidence that regions of the globe still do not have the warm conditions they enjoyed before the start of the LIA. Farms are still being found under ice and tree lines have not returned to the elevations and latitudes they were in about 1200.
I guess it depends on which regional characteristics you use to define the LIA and the period in time you pick. Evidence exists the LIA started as early as 1250 and may not have ended yet. We are just experiencing a less extreme portion of the period and similar short periods have been experienced before.
