According to top researchers, this will be the last year for Arctic ice – or it may be gone already.
“Our projection of 2013 for the removal of ice in summer is not accounting for the last two minima, in 2005 and 2007,” the researcher from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, explained to the BBC.
“So given that fact, you can argue that may be our projection of 2013 is already too conservative.”
The ice may be gone already. It’s probably like Bermuda up there. Poley Bears surfing, hanging ten. They’ve probably learned to eat coconuts since they are so cuddly and wouldn’t hurt a fly.
Polar bears gone wild or something!
Super smart scientists at NASA said it would take another year for the ice to be all gone.
So what will they say next year, Let me guess, it’s worse than we thought and it will be another year before we see that, or it will be another 5 years.
-54 (F) in Alaska and generally 30-40 below in the high Arctic. The ice isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
