Sea level not rising is inconvenient, so they hid Envisat, normalized it incorrectly, and added a bogus GIA adjustment.
NOAA adds half a degree on to measured temperatures since the year 2000 – and then tells us that temperatures have warmed half a degree, and that the ten warmest years have occurred since the year 2000.
Hayhoe and Hansen ignore data prior to 1960, as does NOAA and other global warming funded organizations. Trenberth pretends that heat is sinking to the bottom of the ocean.
The list goes on and on (Hansen fabricating Arctic temperatures, etc.) Climate science is corrupt beyond comprehension.

I shared graphs such as these with friends and family over Christmas. Most of them have heard me describe these shenanigans, but when they could see for themselves that data is clearly being manipulated to support warmist claims, they were stunned. They could not understand how these frauds still have jobs. I explained that the warmists have excuses or ‘reasons’ to make historical ‘adjustments’ and the laughter ensued. Then they were angry again. Angry about being lied to from those they had entrusted with our care. These folks know the seas are not rising, most can see the coastline from their homes. They have witnessed the massive fish kills from cold water in the past few years and know that summers are not getting hotter.
I did not have to wave my hands a single time.

Even with the bogus adjustments, Envisat has fallen since 2008. My guess is that alarmists will claim there’s something wrong with it, and therefore adjust or ignore it.

Then there is the #1 best seller currently in Germany is a new book written by two well know former supporters of AGW, but who now have serious doubts after investigating the way climate science has been conducted.

Its the economy. When things are going well, no one really cares. When things are going poorly, they start examining the various causes we are asked to pay for.
The only growing economies are the ones with the capacity to expand. Germany is realizing their energy fantasy isn’t going to come true. In the meantime, they’re being asked to pony up to bailout Greece, with Italy and Spain in the lurch.
We’re getting a voice because it is pragmatic to let us have one.
I get what your saying and I agree that the economy is a factor. However these men were serious warmist leaders who accepted the consensus at face value and pushed the green agenda. These are learned men who are suggesting that they were ignorant in having done so and that after looking at evidence for themselves, can no longer support the green agenda. Why would such men denounce the gravy train they rode and risk their reputations in a country where the public is still very much supportive of the green movement?

I’d like Kevin O’Neill to comment on the rationale for the adjustments in USHCN data. Reading the paper he linked to a few days ago did not shed light on rationale, only that adjustments were done because they had good statistically-valid reasons.

The University of Colorado in Blunder, CO oops I mean Boulder CO, has discovered that ice is not melting 30% less than previously thought. The scientists estimate melt contribution to sea level rise as 1.5 mm/yr. from 2033 to 1010 excluding supposed expansion from warming. Do we now have a “missing sea level rise” mystery to solve since net sea level rise has been less than 1.5 mm/yr? By the time you account for supposed ocean expansion + the depletion of aquifiers whose water has been pumped to the surface and added into rivers and oceans, there seems to be lots of water missing. Maybe fat Americans are carrying it all as water weight?

“According to the GRACE data, total sea level rise from all land-based ice on Earth including Greenland and Antarctica was roughly 1.5 millimeters per year annually or about 12 millimeters, or one-half inch, from 2003 to 2010, said Wahr.”

The US News guy must have did the conversion and mistook the .0592 inches/yr. as six tenths of an inch instead of six hundreths of an inch.
I don’t think the conversion is faulty. Six hundreths of an inch per year times seven years is nearly half an inch. Whether it is happening is another question!
It is remarkable that the scientists talk about a average sea-level rise of 1.5mm per year. I don’t think we have the ability to measure such a thing to that degree of precision with any confidence. Are they saying that if we measure a difference of 150mm over a century we divide by 100 to get 1.5mm? I have lived on the coast in the Pacific North West for 30 years and the tides come in and they go out. The levels do not change – we get storm surges or the effects of them hundreds of miles away but that is just noise. How do you know the weight of the ocean does not compress the bottom of the sea and possibly lower the perceived sea level? Plate movement can affect levels. I think AGW is a bunch of BS, useful to exert social control on a clueless world. The climate has been changing for billions of years and always will.

Hansen et al say that the average global temperature (ignoring their adjustments) has risen and is rising. I’m willing to concede their math is correct. In Superfreakonomics, Levitt & Dubner note that the average human being has one breast and one testicle. I KNOW that math is correct.
Climate “science” and CAGW have allowed the grant-paying taxpayer to see behind the “green” doors of academic and political games-players.
