“We ‘killed’ five people to make No Pressure – a mere blip compared to the 300,000 real people who now die each year from climate change,”
The message from the child snuff film makers being that it is OK to kill children of your choice – if you believe their deaths are for the greater good. (See Germany, 1939)
So let’s dissect their claim. The 25 worst natural disasters of the 20th century all occurred with CO2 levels lower than Hansen’s safe level of 350 ppm. Most of these were the result of climate change.
Here is a small sampling of climate change induced deaths from more than 50 years ago.
In 1958, climate change killed between 20 and 43 million people in China. CO2 levels were well below Hansen’s safe 350 ppm.
In 1931, climate change killed 3.7 million people in China. CO2 levels were well below Hansen’s safe 350 ppm.
1n 1928, climate change killed 3 million people in China. CO2 levels were well below Hansen’s safe 350 ppm.
In 1900, climate change killed 1.2 million people in India. CO2 levels were well below Hansen’s safe 350 ppm.
The USGS reported in 2004 that climatic shifts to are part of the natural cycle.
Analyses of tree rings have been used extensively to reconstruct the history of drought in the United States for the past 800 years. Tree-ring reconstructions of precipitation in northern Utah (Gray and others, in press) indicate that, since 1226 A.D., nine droughts have occurred lasting 15-20 years and four droughts have occurred lasting more than 20 years. Moreover, tree-ring records indicate that some past droughts in the Colorado River basin persisted for several decades (Meko and others, 1995).
Conclusion : Climate change deaths have no correlation with CO2, and have declined over the last hundred years.

The 1932-33 famine in Ukraine – The Holodomor – was a direct consequence of communism.
People live longer partly because of ‘fossil’ fuels:
Was Katrina from ‘global warming’? Believers in ‘global warming’ say yes. The evidence says no.
If it is really that glaringly obvious I remain puzzled at how the lies get peddled.
You have not really dissected the claim. Merely said that more have died in the past.
However, taking their claim at face value, if we all reduce our carbon dioxide emissions then none need die from bad weather in the future. Hooray!
Shouldn’t this read “Climate
ChangeDisasters On The Decline”s. goddard – a pillock of the first order
In other words, you have nothing intelligent to say and can only respond with juvenile insults.

People live longer partly because of ‘fossil’ fuels:
And this means all is well?
No, what it means is that you damned well have a replacement ready to go if you try to abandon the resource which has caused the greatest advancement of the human condition.
97% percent on scientists agree that Climate Change is happening. Is it a conspiracy?
I cant wait until we get a Department of Truth.
Are they all inept and misinterpreting their lives work of research and data?
Good thing I have “real-science.com” and ‘fair & balanced’ Faux news to keep me
“informed” ..like a good boy
Steve, you act like you’re some steward of logic yet don’t even address the
actual argument, I am still looking around though. However, with your supreme intellect,
do you think you could first supply premises as to why I should get my information from
your site and sources as opposed to ( http://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/) and then just
organize your research in opposition to theirs, point by point.
example: here’s a point of yours
“Conclusion : Climate change deaths have no correlation with CO2, and have declined over the last hundred years.”
Why not argue?
“Climate change has no correlation with CO2 emissions.”
The actual issue.
Your post typifies alarmists. Rambling non-specific appeals to an imagined authority. Do you think that 97% of scientists don’t believe in the Dust Bowl?
Your example is just plain dumb. Climate models use CO2 concentration, not emissions.
97% lol…..97% of a small cabal of about 77 people.
Bill, did you copy and paste that comment? The spacing looks as if you did.
BTW, correlation doesn’t prove causation. The price of postage stamps correlates with CO2 emissions.
