We at Below350.org have been accused of pulling a random CO2 number out of our (collective) asses, and attempting to attach some meaningless scientific significance to it.
This accusation is of course completely accurate – we did pull that number of our ass and we don’t have any idea what we are talking about. There is no truth to that accusation, because it was James Hansen who pulled the number out of his ass.
In order to erase doubts about our determination to stabilize the climate, we are setting “Target 1934″ That was a glorious year, with very consistent precipitation across the US, and mild temperatures.

When you look at the 30s, the Good Old Days somehow do not seem so great.
