The Arctic Is The Root Of All Evil

HadCRUT temps have been declining since the start of the current millennium, but Hansen continues to show an increase.

GISS has been diverging from HadCrut at a rate of almost 1C per century since 2001. Hansen blames attributes this to his extrapolated Arctic temperatures north of 80N, where he has no thermometers.

I’ve always wondered why the antarctic is treated the a red-headed step child of climate science.

If you have a weather station at the right position when the Arctic ice is retreating, you might measure a lot of warming. But some of this warming might come from the Arctic sea releasing its heat to space now that the ice does not cover it anymore. That is why they should probably not extrapolate between those 3 regions: ice shelf, limit of ice shelf and out of ice shelf.

The Arctic was not evil when inhabited by peaceful Inuits who lived in perfect harmony with the environment.

But with the arrival of white males, butchering baby seals and plundering for oil and beating their wives, it has now become a symbol of capitalist exploitation.

“The Arctic was not evil when inhabited by peaceful Inuits…”
How peaceful? Peaceful enough for the MWP to be the reason for the Dorset to dissapear? Inuit legends recount their driving away the people they called Tuniit (singular Tuniq) or Sivullirmiut (First Inhabitants). ”
“The process of “driving off” the Dorset, which is recounted in their legends, would likely have involved direct conflict.”

I’ve said it before and say it again:

The amount of warming is inversely proportional to the number of pirates thermometers.
