It is time to end the denial.
Arctic Watch iOS Released – Second largest ice melt in recorded history
Dec 20, 2011
Unprecedented amounts of new data shows that this trend is accelerating.
NSIDC Director Mark Serreze said, “It looks like the spring ice cover is so thin now that large areas melt out in summer, even without persistent extreme weather patterns.”

All of the Arctic islands could be iced in this year:

It just depends on the regional wind conditions! Well! I do have to add the activity of the Ice Breakers will have a lot to do with ice conditions around some of the islands. Of course they are just doing their jobs.
I followed the link.
When I read this “Sausalito, California” I knew the source of their information. WOW, MAN! That is some really good $hit.
An update on the Nome situation:

In the article they state: “This year the Arctic Sea ice melted to its second lowest extent in recorded human history.” This is exactly the kind of blatant misleading statement that raises my ire since for the average citizenry “recorded human history” sounds like a very, very long time indeed whereas the informed citizen knows that ice extent has only been recorded for a decade or so. Which means that reaching the second lowest extent is of virtually no particular significance whatsoever.
I assume your point is that you prefer long-term empirical evidence. I do think most people can see that the chart is a reflection of 10 years. However, I think the story here was simply pointing out that CO2 has not created the Arctic ice disaster predicted by the warmists.
During the 1900s , the arctic ice melted to such an extent that shipping was able to move relatively freely. Look up readily available historical information . The misinformation is rife and does not warrant further draconian laws .
Mark Serreze, the Arctic’s answer to Baghdad Bob.
@rubyjones – I was referring to the press release http://prmac.com/release-id-35833.htm where the graph is not shown at all and there is no mention of the length or start of the human measured Arctic ice extent. Thus, the press release makes “recorded human history” sound like a very, very long time indeed. It’s all about using the right “language” for the ill informed masses to get maximum effect.
