  1. If it takes several thousand years to melt something, obviously it takes around 12 years to melt 15% of it.

    MATHS!

Please stop fabricating these old news stories, hacking into other people’s websites and putting them on there. Thanks.

    • avatar Dave N says:

Especially government websites; they must be pretty annoyed.

    • Steven – please post tips on your hacking and Photoshop techniques. I want to hack into sites like the Guardian and Washington Post to insert articles like “Children just won’t know what snow is”, “Manhattan Underwater by 2050″, “Arctic to be ice-free by 20xx” and other total garbage.

And we are still waiting for all those artificial reefs that would be left behind! Just think of all the construction projects that would be created by a rising sea level. Obambi should be promoting thing that they claim will cause sea levels to rise as a make work project!

    • avatar Mike Davis says:

We should send people with flame throwers to Greenland to speed up the ice loss! They do already have a proposed map of what it could look like in the Times Atlas!

  4. “One scientist has estimated that if only the ice in Greenland melted” – what else is there in Greenland that might melt?

  5. avatar Andy DC says:

The early 1950′s were warm, so climate scientists were talking about warming.
The 1970′s were cold, so climate scientists were talking about cooling.
The 1990′s were warm, so climate scientists were talking about warming.

These climate scienctists are incredibly sophisticated, with their uncanny ability to reach these startling conclusions.

    • avatar Mike Davis says:

They seem to increase their level of hype just as the trend reverses!

    • The 2000s didn’t see much change, so climate scientists were talking about “extreme weather”.

    • avatar Gator says:

“The early 1950′s were warm, so climate scientists were talking about warming.
The 1970′s were cold, so climate scientists were talking about cooling.
The 1990′s were warm, so climate scientists were talking about warming.”

Looks like classic generational conflict to me.
